Tilanne on jalkaväkimiinakeskustelussa kypsynyt. Sopimuksen syntyhetkellä vallinnut tilanne on ratkaisevasti muuttunut. Kukaan, joka osaa karttaan katsoa, ei Suomea sopimuksesta luopumisesta kritisoisi. Suomi tarvitsee miinansa. Oli vaarallista haihattelua Ottawan sopimuksessa miinoista luopua.
