I work with a lot of perfumers but my under grad degree was in archeology. Shared a lab w a paleontologist at UC Davis 50 yrs ago. These days we make fragrances. Mastodon “musk” probably smelled pretty rank to humans. I always laugh at fragrance marketing. “Musk” is a note in perfumery.

Abdul El-Sayed gave the commencement speech at my graduation from undergrad. (University of Michigan.) Bill Clinton also spoke. 20 years later I remember fondly what El-Sayed said, but nothing Clinton said. Anyway, there's a reason he is the campaign I have donated the most to in these midterms.

I’ve had students like Tommy and lord they are the absolute worst. They’re not there to learn but to teach the teacher and disrupt the class. And of course as reporting has pointed out, Tommy isn’t there to listen, or be an audience member either.
