A Stevenson Screen for recording weather data. Very vital even today for flight & aircraft safety, among many other services military and civilian. Used to collect temperature (min/max) and humidity (RH%) data.

Am hoping this might be passed on via others here on BSky to reach a wider readership. Their RAF Cosford based museum is also undergoing a marvellous new development including exhibition space to show the huge collection of RAF artefacts currently in store elsewhere.

Our mischievous elves have stolen Santa's Magic Carrots which help his reindeer see in the dark. Search around the Museum to find our pilot carrot vouchers and bring one to the shop to claim your pilot carrot soft toy. Hunts run on the 16-17 and 23-24 November. There are 10 to find each day.
