I need people to understand this. Far too many folks think that if healthcare workers aren’t masking - it means the threat has passed. No - it means they’re resistant to change. It took decades to get them to adopt handwashing - and the person who advocated for it was written off as mentally ill

When I was in the psych hospital years ago, they’d always show this video of a man with no arms or legs who would travel & give talks about how he was able to thrive. All it did was make the rest of feel like shit for asking for help.
