What Star Trek needs now is Project Hail Mary levels of writing and emotional stakes in 60 minute episodes. Not pastiche scripts of existing movies, or gimmicks, just back to basics storytelling. The galaxy is a big place. 100-400 billion stars. So many stories to tell.
