Great day out with North West group of @indexers.bsky.social to the amazing John Rylands Library in Manchester, including a look at their Gutenberg Bible (facsimile handling copy of their stored 1454/55 original) and its unfortunate rubrication incident. #IndexSky @thejohnrylands.bsky.social

@thejohnrylands.bsky.social one of my favourite quiet spaces on Deansgate in Manchester. A Victorian Gothic gem, a mixture of M.S. Escher and Hogwarts.

What an amazing place @thejohnrylands.bsky.social is. Thanks to Dr Zsófi Buda for showing me some of their ancient Hebrew and Muslim books today. Manchester is world class for old libraries - love Chetham’s and Portico too.
