Manipulation is not autism. A desire to humiliate someone is not autism. Feeling superior to another person is not autism. Refusing to reflect on the consequences of your behaviour is not autism.

Those are behaviours for which individuals remain responsible. What troubles me most is the lack of reflection here. A man has died after weeks of extraordinary public scrutiny, and Nathan is still discussing who was “more autistic”.
