I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was developed! More beaches, cute benches, picnic areas, pollinator flowers, educational plaques, playground, mini gym, rose garden, Cafe Hagen, and bathrooms. The renovation went all the way to the Magnolia Bridge.

Fascinating! One thing they didn't mention in the example Portland story was also that if everyone had to do the work at once there would be a massive contractor shortage and increased costs from that demand.
