Can't disagree with your first sentence. I don't understand your third sentence. As a Christian, I sing Sacred Harp because it's fun and moving and meaningful and communal. I don't feel like I'm at a worship event....

And you can't deny that plenty of atheists sing Sacred Harp! But maybe I have a broader - or just different - understanding of what it is we're doing when we sing together, and of who we want to participate in that with?
