In my wrap-up lecture for my survey course on the history of science and technology, I ended by showing the famous Mann "hockey stick" graph, updated to the present. A student observed that it didn't look much like a hockey stick. I agreed, and suggested that these days it looked more like a scythe

Worth noting that McConnell refusing to whip votes to convict Trump at his impeachment trial (or vote himself to convict) is *why* we’re in this position right now. If McConnell is looking for the person at fault, he might want to consult a mirror.
