The sky...was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel. The car's on fire and there's no driver at the wheel... If there's a Hell below, We're all gonna go. Go On, Maggot Brain. **Code-Switching like an Enigma Machine since at least 1980** 🖖🛸🎲🐉🧛🐈⬛

Show PostWow, people were really putting in the hours on their racist caricatures back then... This makes me think of running a really old-fashioned D&D setting where the players and their characters THINK the racist stuff us all true ("all orcs are evil & dumb")...
Show PostPSYCHO II (1983) is in Regal cinemas tonight. Norman returns in a film that seemed like a cash grab to capitalize on the slasher boom, but isn't. Decades-later sequels w/ original stars were a rarity then, and reuniting Anthony Perkins + Vera Miles to settle old scores was a masterstroke. #FilmSky
Show PostNorman was trying SO HARD. There were villains in this sequel, none of them were him.
Show PostI'm hosting the watch party for Jacques Tourneur's NIGHTFALL (1956) w/ Aldo Ray and Anne Bancroft —Wed Oct 21 8pm ET/5pm PT w/ #TheNoirCollective Naturalistic performances, extensive location photography, and taut pacing give this latter-era daylight noir an exhilarating, contemporary vibe #FilmSky
