I defended my PhD last week!🍾🎉 I’m proud of the work I put into each of my projects. I’ve grown so much as a scientist thanks to guidance from my advisor and lab mates. Also, I was so excited that some of my close friends and parents were able to make it out to my defense! Thank you all!!
Show PostExcited to share some positive updates: I successfully defended my dissertation, and have accepted a postdoctoral position starting this fall at University of Rochester. I'll be working with Mark Hibbins (@rejectresubmit.bsky.social). A big thank you to everyone who has helped me on this journey!
Show PostThe Sauve Lab is recruiting students! Please share! Interested in conservation, forensics, or evolutionary ecology? Email your research interests, CV, and info for two references to sauve.drew@ontariotechu.ca! While Fall 2027 is the primary intake, there may be some flexibility in start dates.
Show PostI’m going to think all day how to start getting them all aligned. I’ve definitely dropped the ball —or duck ha!— on so many projects, reviews, etc. My mental health took a big toll at the beginning of the year & I think I’m kinda getting out of all that. Being intentional about it helps a lot! 🦆. 🦆
Show PostI came across a mating pair of Japanese Oakblue (Narathura japonica) during my morning walk. A phone pic, and no color enhancement or adjustment---this is exactly how they looked. The iridescent blue shimmer in the morning light was simply stunning! #Butterflies
