But I’m also a realistic voter, especially post-primary. A still-possible outcome is Tim Walz’s mismanagement costing Peggy Flanagan & Keith Ellison their jobs. Unfortunately, another “Walz cost” is accepting Amy as a (partial) bulwark against GOP victories. An all-GOP state govt would be a horror.
Show PostWhile our family owes Amy a debt, I’m not a full-throated supporter … I’m far down the reluctant scale. She was part of the DFL establishment (still dominating Strib political analysts) that ignored MPD abuses & chased headlines that put innocent black people in jail (days we hurtle toward again).
Show PostThe whole fraud thing. That was total malpractice by the agencies his commissioners were in charge of.
Show PostAmy recruited my wife to her law firm, so I’ve known her for years — the good and the bad (only supportive of my wife, who went on to have an awesome career; so micromanage-y with others that early in her career heavyweight DFL politicos had to monitor her). This is a good profile.
