So much this. I don't care what you say: that document you used AI to write, that code you wrote with Claude — you can never understand it as well as things you wrote without such tools. I'm sad that the software industry has lost its pride in its work

Biases as stable systems with feedback loops, not glitches. That reframe changes everything. A glitch you fix by correcting the individual. A system you change by changing what the system rewards. What's the social layer doing that makes them so sticky?

I mean if the spec had been perfect, I think waterfall would have worked great. The problem is it was still only a tiny part of the truth, for a given value of truth. And we’ve spent 10-20 years getting suckier at requirements so why it would work now is a mystery.
