they also don't seem to realize we *are* voting for the Dems who haven't actively said they're for or against trans rights and we *are* voting for the allies who are clumsy with their words. they're so bought in on the immutability of sex they don't understand the problem of republicans' framing.

Yup. Next weekend I get to find out whether I still have human rights & health care, since thanks to an increasingly improbably series of idiotic provincial political decisions, we may end up with an elected party so far extreme right that they haven't been in power for nearly 100 years. Fun times.
