Show PostTomorrow will be HOT! A Heat Advisory will be in effect from 11 am to 8 pm Tuesday for a majority of our region. The high elevations are not included, but they'll still be warm. Temperatures will likely reach the low to mid-90s for most of us with some valley areas possibly reaching upper 90s.
Show PostENHANCED Risk for Severe Weather Tuesday⛈️ This is the first time since July 16, 2024, that our region has had an enhanced risk. That was 727 days ago! Damaging winds with gusts of 70+ mph, large hail, heavy downpours, frequent cloud to ground lightning, and brief tornadoes are all possible Tuesday.
Show Post🌪️ Enough spin tomorrow for a couple tornadoes possible. Storm Prediction Center includes language for strong tornadoes (EF2+). All prior tornadoes this season occurred on 2-5% risk days. Also watch for damaging straight line winds 70+ mph.
