When we started the season I thought we had too many midfielders 🤣 but finding guaranteed starters for the 2 pivots and the no.10 has turned out to be impossible so far.. #nufc

Not after 7 games he shouldn't. Even a perfect squad that were all well experienced in the league couldnt be expected to have it together with a new coach in that time. Some would be able to, but you cant expect it

It's not encouraging NGL, but he's not been in post that long and sometimes it takes a moment for a manager to find the right formula. See Farke at Leeds, Glasner at Palace, Iroala at Borunemouth. We have to hope this is just adoption stuff, but it looks a bit more naive to me than that atm

The really funny thing is we have more than enough midfielders to legit play 433 again, it’s probably optimal for the squad we have. Whether MJ would be prepared to admit being wrong about shape with this group of players is a test of ego/vs. What everyone’s eyes can see atm. #nufc

I’m not there yet. But is MJ going to be the Rubin Amorim of #nufc A stubbornness to refuse to adapt. To see the system doesn’t work with the players we have in the PL. No solidity. No Invention? Howe lost 17 games last season WITH Bruno, Tonali & Gordon in the squad!! This is worrying.
