The report my psychologist put together (part of adhd diagnosis) wasn’t just a score. It was several pages of domain-specific measurements. A real doctor would be looking at those components as a way of getting a rough idea of cognitive impairment and how well treatment is working.
Show PostYou’re measuring the same person’s IQ twice and noting the difference between those two scores, not comparing it to anyone else. Presumably portions you scored low on due to inherent bias stay at least as low and don’t much impact the total measured change.
Show PostI have never met a truly intelligent person who thought that about themselves. Almost universally I find highly intelligent people are suffering from imposter syndrome or underestimating where they fall on the curve. Likely because the more you know, the more you know you don't know.
Show PostOne of the key messages I carry is that we don't have to accept any of this. Sometimes I see opposition in the form of "Get in loser, you'll be left behind" and other times it's in the form of "It's all over the place, what do you mean you think you can opt out?" >>
Show PostIt’s a great idea. It’s even a great idea for a lot of days in LA when you look at the air quality. There’s times you shouldn’t be outside without a mask.
