I’m in the SE corner of Tarn et Garonne - the department that produces the most apples in all of France. Generally huge commercial orchards, but I bet there are some artisans hidden somewhere. I’ve just not thought to look. If i find anything I will report back!

Went to Paris as a student, back in 1989 & bought 400 Gauloises with the intention of flogging them on at a decent profit. Sold a pack of 20 to a fella who didn't even smoke but couldn't even give the rest away. Smoked 380 of them myself. Sounded like the love child of Tom Waits & Louis Armstrong. 😬
