Yes, every Scandinavian is fluent in English. But there is a BIG difference between speaking your own language(s) or a foreign one.

I'd still say there's a big difference between Sheffield whose mother was born in Norway and who learned the language as a child and all the US people who say they're *insert nationality* because one of their great-great-grandparents came from there 150 years ago.

Eh it’s not just genetic though, he’s legally a Norwegian citizen too, and spoke Norwegian growing up. Like if e.g. Matteo joined Uno-X because of his Danish grandparent, yeah that’s ridiculous, but Sheffield is about as Norwegian as you can get while not registered under a Norwegian flag w/ the UCI
