He kept telling me I have such a good horse, how good he looks, that he clearly trusts me. He'd tell a story then circle back to "you've got a real good horse there! Real good lookin', good manners. A real good horse. Small for a Thoroughbred though"

One of the trail bosses, a lifetime cowboy, stopped by and offered him an apple, but Ares wouldn't go over to him—he stood next to me until I walked over to the guy, and he followed me. The guy said, "look at him, stays with his mama until she shows him it's safe." 🥺!!!
