🚨New preprint! Ligands at the same GPCR can produce wildly different signaling outputs. Why? We built a mutational scanning platform to measure ~10,000 µOR variants across 15 opioids, yielding ~400k measurements of how sequence and ligand chemistry set signaling. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6... 1/10

If you analyse protein stability data, use population-weighted observables such as fluorescence intensities. Try to avoid observables (intensity ratios, lambda_max) that are not population weighted For more: Linking thermodynamics and measurements of protein stability doi.org/10.1093/prot...

Have you ever looked at a gene in IGV or a genome browser and wondered “What are all those (ATAC-seq/H3K27ac/CTCF ChIP-seq/…) peaks doing?” 🤔 I’m thrilled to share that we developed a new technology called Swap-seq to answer that exact question. Swap-seq: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

It feels very good to have been the editor who handled Soai's 1995 paper in Nature on autocatalytic amplification of an enantiomeric excess - now known as the Soai reaction. This seemed a curiosity at the time, but we clearly made the right call.
