I’m a Jewish person and I grew up in a community that was pretty supportive of Israel. On the question of Palestinian rights, the answer I always heard was “two states.” I do not believe that is a viable solution. I think it was always a punt. Religious ethnostates are inherently fucked.

Israel’s government needs to be cut off completely. No aid. No U.S. assistance of any kind until it stops violating—and greenlighting violations of—Palestinian rights. Enough. Israel must have full citizenship for Palestinians living under its control and equal rights and protection under the law.
