Japan had killed 20 million Chinese citizens alone in racially motivated massacres and gas attacks as well as being tortured to death. That's only the stats for the Chinese alone!! Don't forget they were doing this to alot of Asia aswell! We cant forget the dark past and war crimes Japan has.

Truman had a choice. The Japanese said they would surrender provided they were able to keep their emperor. Truman was ready to take the deal until his racist buddy, Secretary of State Jimmy Byrnes, convinced him to drop the bombs instead.
