I was wary that the change up from fake sets to using real locations was gonna mess with the atmosphere but it worked so perfectly for that story, it's beautiful!
Show PostI do adore The Haunted Palace, it's a mix of Poe and Lovecraft story wise and has Price doing double acting roles. The Raven is fun, and has a bunch of horror legends, The Masque of Red Death is a banger, and I actually enjoy The Tomb of Ligea. All of their Poe collabs are worth watching tho
Show PostFinally saw HOUSE OF USHER (1960), the first of Roger Corman's Edgar Allan Poe films featuring the legendary Vincent Price and it was astounding! The acting, the sets, the costumes, and the dread are perfect for a ghastly evening of scares. Don't skip this!
Show PostIt's gorgeous 🥰 stuck between that and The Pit and the Pendulum as my fave of the Corman/Pride Poe films
