If true, how do you explain his narrow win, even among Democrats. He needs Dems who didn't vote for him and independents. It's an illusion to think the country (and swing state Michigan) is not in the center.

Convincing voters means meet them where they are, not where you think they should be. It means soften positions if that's where voters are--that's not throttling back or inauthentic. Voters want to be heard and their needs met, not candidates who think they know better who are seen as arrogant.

Videos show Sayad is good with his base of younger voters. But this is not enough to win in purple state Michigan. Little evidence yet he appeals to older voters, independents, and Jewish Dems. He will lose unless he expands his support, compromise on some key positions important to his base.
