For one, if you make one donation, instantly your contact is shared among gazillion of PACs, and you start getting bombarded by fundraising texts and emails. One of the reasons if I do donate it's only directly to the candidate, and mostly local elections only.

Show PostThis is why I’ve stopped donating mostly. DNC wonders why it doesn’t have money on hand? This is it. I’m not going to feed consultants. Get out. Go door to door. Talk to voters. Tell the consultants to f$&@ off, and stop using them. Listening to voters and represent them, not PR campaigns.
Show PostYep, big reason I stopped donating. That and the candidates selling me to lists and sticking me in the perpetual political dollar beg from every god damn candidate.
Show PostPrecisely. We have study after study that shows the most efficient way to win votes is neighbors talking to neighbors. That requires robust field operations. But these people make money off ad sales, and thus that's where the money is directed.
