Anthropic's usage policy now bans sustained, needless cruelty toward Claude, from November 12. Frustration, pushback, dark fiction and testing are all still allowed. There's no fine. Claude can end the conversation, which it could already do in rare cases.
Show PostLocal AI: install a runner (Ollama or LM Studio), download an open weights model quantized to fit your RAM, run it offline. Rule of thumb: 8 to 16 GB of memory, small models. 32 GB or more, bigger ones. In Ollama, skip models tagged cloud. Those need a subscription.

Show PostDay 2 bug in my speaking app: the Mac simulator doesn't run speech recognition, so the um detector had no transcript to check. It still reported 5 ums on clean speech. The fix: an um only counts if real words were recognized too. No words, no guessing.
