… runs at 25 dB - basically imperceptible - and a set of filters MERV 8+13, costs $53. But a mechanical contractor on one job said, “What’s the point? They are only rentals!” Summing up the attitude on the part of many developers and trades. For they don’t intend to live in the places they build.

Good. My flat faces East, so I get full sun for most of the day. My blinds & curtains mean I don't use my AC much. The main room remains btw 23C & 26C & my closed-off bedroom is always at least 10 degrees cooler. I do try to open all my windows in the early morning & run the fans to air it out

The last thing we need is any more"executive" housing.
Show PostIt makes me furious. Any barely affordable house in our village is bought up by people who develop it and make it totally unaffordable. It forces youngsters in the village to move out and damages support systems for the older people.
