...and I think most people do too. All normal governments abandon manifesto pledges at will and execute plans not mentioned in their manifesto. The overriding primary duty of Governments is to act in the national interest.
Show PostMoronic stupidity is what it's about. As a significant majority wants us back in the EU the *very least* he should do is communicate some justification for denying the obvious national interest. Falling back on the manifesto is cowardly when they won the GE on anti-Tory votes, not pro-manifesto.
