I would love to see someone claim that a lot of fiction writing is "boilerplate" and just certain important plot bits need human input. Because if you tried handwaving away the "boilerplate" parts of fiction like that, people would rightly mock you for being a giant dipshit.

LLM-generated copycats of games really do get at the heart of why you can't simply divorce LLM generation of code vs. other mediums. Game mechanics are creative work that's enshrined in code. There isn't a clean division between vague handwavey "boilerplate" code and code that defines crucial logic.
