I really need to stop tying my self worth to my academic success. Who cares if I don't got a MA degree. There's many who don't and are doing fine. It's just so frustrating to know that I am smart enough to do research, but that I don't currently have the mental capacity for it. Aaah

these are great terms for talking to colleagues (and they're fine if you define them first) but we do have to define them or else new readers (even old ones, honestly) are gonna go "confusing, I'm not one of you, I'm too embarrassed to ask for the book I'm excited about"

which, like, that's a whole can of worms eating away at the American comic industry that I'm not gonna get into but readers have NO idea about any of this stuff, particularly new readers, who we do not want to alienate by using confusing acronyms! FOC, LCS, TBP, OGN--knock it off haha
