There is yet another category of informed climate denial. It specifically refers to climate experts sugar-coating the findings of climate science. @kevinclimate.bsky.social recently referred to it as "we are selling the soft story". US tariffs do NOT include oil or gas, implying that even in escalating trade wars there's desire to keep the fossil fuels flowing. Meanwhile a record-breaking heat dome envelopes the lower 48 states and massive wildfires burn in TX, all exacerbated by a changing climate due to burning fossil fuels.
