Incredibly tough to hear that Justice @anitaearls.bsky.social has been diagnosed with breast cancer, but I am heartened by her positive prognosis. She has been my boss three times in my legal career, so I know she never backs down from a tough fight. Wishing her a swift and full recovery.

We have some of the best cancer clinicians in the country practicing right here in NC. I wish justice Earls @anitaearls.bsky.social rapid recovery to full health, and will be voting for her re-election this year (and spreading the word to others too).

This Labor Day, I am thinking about the generations of working people who organized, stood together, & fought for better conditions, not just for themselves, but for all of us. They demanded respect for their essential human dignity & recognition of their contribution to our economy.
