From what I’ve read, they showed up to their prison in two groups (21 and 25 August), and both times a signed order arrived less than one hour later to transfer them to another prison, where they never showed up. A wanted notice has since been published for them, and blame-slinging is in progress.

Another scandal in Madagascar is that a bunch (200+) of Chinese people were arrested for being part of a scamming operation. Most of them were sent back to China, but some were sentenced to prison here in Madagascar… … and it was discovered earlier this month that 11 of them just plain vanished.
