I voted for Starmer. To get the Tories out but also in the hopes of undoing some Brexit damage, looking after people more, moral leadership (all to a degree). I’ve been had. I don’t like being had. Nor do millions of other progressive people

昨日某所でママさんたちとお話をしていて、最近の子は素直で大人しいという話題になった。忙しいスケジュールを親の言う通りにこなし、そのことに対して不満もなさそう、と。基本良いことなんだけど、人生においてアドバイスを聞かないとか、はねっ返りの強さが求められる場面はある。それは決断力の裏返し。 受験工学的に最適とされる方法を親が提示し、黙々とそれをこなす。シゴデキな親がつくった計画に間違いはない。完璧だから反発のきっかけもない。自ら工夫する余地もない。その通りにしなければ成績は落ち、それは自分も望んでいない。やるやらないは自分次第。責任は自分にある。という、逃げ場のなさ。
