It was so painful. My aunt wasn’t allowed to see my uncle due to the restrictions. They’d been married over 60 years. When he died of covid complications she hadn’t seen him for four months. Saving grace was that the funeral number rules were ignored by minister, undertakers and the village.

My mum died alone at the end of Covid (not from it) because the rules were so misunderstood and a nonsense the care home wouldn’t let me in to sit with her even though the government said it was ok in those circumstances. Haunts me a bit. 😢
