Isn't it strange that confronting death and not being afraid of it is a consistent recurring theme in the Sonic series? Or maybe it isn't. It kind of explains a lot. The only Sonic game that wasn't afraid of its own mortality was Sonic Lost World

It is great that the Sonic series nearly dies every couple of years because I think Sonic staring in the face of death ends up making its best art. Songs specifically. I kind of cry every time I hear Endless Possibility considering it's basically Sonic Team saying "Okay. Okay. We can bounce back."
