@iuliia-thru.bsky.socialthe trick that finally helped my task paralysis: make the first step so small it feels stupid. not "clean the kitchen," just "put one dish in the sink." starting is the whole wall for me, once i'm moving i'm usually fine. what's your dumbest-tiny first step that actually works? 🧵
Show Postmy brain files "reply to that one text" under the same folder as "do taxes." a 5 second task just sits there for weeks looking impossible. what's a stupidly small task your brain has decided is a boss fight? 🧵
Show Posttask-starting trick that works on my adhd brain: set a 5 minute timer and let yourself quit the second it goes off. starting is usually the whole wall, so once it's running you tend to keep going. and if you stop at 5, that's still 5 more than the zero you were stuck at. #ADHD #taskparalysis
Show Postif you're starting today already behind: find the one thing you can finish in under two minutes and do it before you look at the rest of the list. not because it matters. because "zero done" is what starts my spiral, and one done isn't zero. #ADHD #executivedysfunction
