Great to be in NYC last night for premiere at Met of Lincoln in the Bardo. Take a bow George Saunders!

I really loved act one, amazing all around. More mixed feelings about act two, but also had some of the highlights

I found it quite moving. Lincoln (Peter Matteo) and the Reverend (Christine Goerke) in particular were really terrific. The kid who played Willie was good, although at times it was a bit hard to hear him (not surprising since he's a kid singing over an orchestra and he didn't have a mic).

I really enjoyed the staging and there were some genuinely funny moments, too. I'm reluctant to describe the bits I liked best because I don't want to do any spoilers.
