This is somehow a combination of two of the stupidest myths out there: that Irish people were enslaved in the US, AND that Jewish people ran the transatlantic trade in enslaved people. (Some American Jews did participate in the slave trade, but not out of proportion compared to US Christians).

Fortunately, over the past 25 years, I’ve found Star Trek’s licensing puzzle box to be more of an inspiration than an obstacle. Many times, being told outright that I’m not allowed to do “X” has compelled me to come up with something better.
