I think ultimately the reason I was able to develop such a healthy relationship with my own masculinity is because relatively early on I decided that I do not give a shit what my father or older brother think about my gender presentation or how it might reflect on them.
Show PostI was already largely out of the closet during high school (friends and family knew) but after I graduated I definitely spent some time exploring my femme side. Long hair, did drag a few times, etc. Then I eventually cut my hair and was like "I'm definitely just a dude" and it's been aces ever since
