Faith, no matter in what or who, is good for two things- first, to be an anchor when you are tossed around in the storm, to be able to ground you and give you the strength to persevere. Second, to help uplift those around you, pick them up, dust them off, and help them thrive. That is it.

Sorry, this shit makes me real mad. If you are not using your strength to help others around you, you are failing your deity.

Every time i read some conservative christian write "ooh, those lefties hate me for my faith" I have to laugh. Like, I am openly and visibly and loudly religious and even the most turbo anti-theists are largely fine with me. They don't hate you for your faith, they hate you cause you're an asshole.

Hey, DSA friends in NYC! I'm running to be a convention delegate! I'm one of the few folks running in SBK who's emphasizing tech issues (I'm a member of @nycdsatech.bsky.social), & I'd be honored to get your vote if you're a DSA member there! (I'm easy to find - the only Greg on that ballot lol.) ❤️
