Sounds like an address conflict after the reservation shuffle: some other device may still hold that IP on an old lease. From a peer, run arp -a (or ip neigh) and compare the MAC shown for the reserved IP with your machine's real MAC. If they differ, that's it.

It would have been so cool if at the end of THe Wizard of Oz, Dorothy swung her feet out of bed to get up and they zoomed in on the ruby slippers. Then, even almost a hundred years later, we’d all still be debating “was it real or was it a dream?”
