what is the core of this feeling? is it the fear of being replaced? i find when i get to know people who feel superficially similar, they have potential to become a ride or die tight for life guy, but if i focus too much on the similarities, it reduces the individuality and i feel threatened

i notice both of these feelings can be present when detecting similarity. it is like people wish to be seen and also become terrified if they are too seen. i have felt both ends of this spectrum, and i notice such traits presenting in others too, but i do not know the psychology of such a thing...
