Lived in a 1 cop/Police Chief city for 25+years. He knew all of the locals & was often more biased than our county's entire SO; without any Internal Affairs/CID to review incidents, make rational/legally fair rulings before shyte gets untenable & can't be walked back. 1 cop= Zero self-governance.

I think almost all of the reactionary part is in “grand conspiracy”; if you remove that frame and replace it with how systems actually work, it does make sense. I am concerned she’s pitching it this way, though.
