Red is the only option that makes sense either way; mathematically the problem essentially boils down to pick blue to have a 50% chance of surviving, pick red to have a 100% chance of surviving. Nobody has ANY reason to pick blue here.

The person who votes red is voting to preserve their lives. The person who votes blue risks their life. Sometimes that bet is probably reasonable (say only ten people had to vote blue to save everyone) and sometimes it isn’t
