I still don't really understand why the entrance seemed to move. i can believe i didn't keep it perpendicular to the wall. perhaps i just moved at the point of starting it. anyway. first time, experience gained. curtains up, no-one hurt, building mostly intact, probably counts as a good landing. 😅
Show Posti think that second one went into stone. i kinda hit a wall (well, more of a wall than i was already going through). eventually got there with a change of bit and using hammer-action and more determination, and the plug seemed to fit snugly in it afterwards...

16. 16? I own a now slightly older than 16 year old teen boy and I was one myself. I can safely say, without fear of contradiction, that a young chap at that age is already well into the Olympic phase of his wanking career and maternal lunch bosoms are really only going to confuse things.
