ENOUGH IS ENOUGH We need to increase the fine for driving on closed roads. Automatic license suspension for a week if you drive into an emergency scene! $110 fine + points is NOT a sufficient deterrent.

The driver blew past a police barricade, with flashing lights and a sign stating "EMERGENCY - ROAD CLOSED - BY POLICE ORDER SECTION 134 HTA", and nailed a CTV cameraman wearing a bright safety vest. This same thing happened 3 years ago: driver blew past a similar barricade and hit a CTV reporter.

Agreed. I can't believe someone can see a sign saying 'closed *by police order*' and tell themselves it's okay to violate it.
