Honestly, putting the colour level in brackets after makes more sense to me. I have to get through information before trying to assess what type of threat is possible. The potential threat makes sense to be first, then how immediate second.

Welcome, Canadians, to the new world of colour-tiered weather alerts. I bet a lot of you are thinking "hey, why weren't we warned that this was coming"? ;-) It is indeed aligned with Europe and the WMO, but not with the US. Which concerns me for border towns. But I guess we'll see how it goes...
